About Me
I’m an avid reader. When authors' words touch me, and the story stays with me, I say, “I wish I could write like that.” After I inherited hundreds of my mother's hand-written letters, I believed I was meant to do something meaningful with them. So, I started writing. And I haven’t stopped.
What started as a family legacy project turned into a desire to share my story with others. My experiences will appeal to those who have lived with an institutionalized parent, dealt with medical issues during adolescence, were incorporated into a blended family, or grew up as a Pastor’s Kid.

After several years of online writing courses and advanced studies in local college writing programs, I discovered what I fondly call my ‘reverse book club’ – a unique opportunity to review and critique other writers’ works-in-progress before they are published. This experience has deepened my understanding of the craft and expanded my ability to offer insightful feedback.
I’m passionate about my immediate family, which at last count numbered 75. When I’m not writing, I can be found in the cockpit of a kayak, on the top side of a river tube, snowshoeing up a ridge or agreeing to participate in whatever outdoor adventure my children hoodwink me into.
